1. How long have you been working at Velotio?

I joined Velotio a little over three years ago. However, I have been inspired by Kalpak's journey (Founder & CEO- Velotio) since his previously founded company, Clogeny Technologies. So, when I learned about Velotio and its vision, I was immediately inclined to be a part of it.

2. How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I have experienced incredible career growth at Velotio. I started my journey as a Senior Software Engineer and was soon entrusted with the role of a Technical Lead. I had endless opportunities to learn new technologies and work on challenging projects, which helped me become a Senior Tech Lead in less than a year. Currently, I am a Director of Engineering and managing several crucial projects. It’s so rewarding to see the amount of exposure and experience I have accumulated over the years.

3. What is your favorite thing about working at Velotio?

Talent. Velotio is full of great talent and smart folks. I feel enlightened when I talk to my peers and the way they come up with creative solutions to address challenging problems. There is always something new to learn from everyone in the team. Some of my other favorite things at Velotio are the leadership opportunities and the culture of trust, transparency, and no hierarchy.

4. What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I like to read about the emerging and latest technologies. Some of my go-to resources are Hacker News, Indie Hackers, a few paid newsletters. And when I am neither working or reading, I like to go for a walk to have my much-needed dose of serotonin.

5. What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I am a domain hoarder. Whenever I get a startup idea, I buy a domain for it. So far, I have bought 750 domains and have sold 100 out of them for Rs. 10 lakhs.

6. Where’s your favorite place in the world?

To be around like-minded people. My happy place would be a room full of geeks talking about all kinds of latest tech and products.

7. If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

There are so many people I admire. It’s hard to pick one. But if I have to choose, I would want to meet Mr. Kailash Nadh, CTO of Zerodha. I would be thrilled to pick his brains on his leadership style and technical skills.

8. Three words to best describe you:

Consistent. Reliable. Unconventional.

9. What tv show are you binge watching right now?

Bad Boy Billionaire.

10. If you could have any superpower what would it be?

To be honest, I would want to have two superpowers. First would be to get invisible like Anil Kapoor from Mr. India. And, second would be to stretch my body to limitless lengths and shapes like Mister Fantastic from Fantastic 4.

11. What is one food that you cannot resist?

Tea! Am up for one anytime, anywhere.
